The Carpinteria Sanitary District is seeking a qualified, energetic professional who has the expertise and the drive to elevate the agency’s wastewater laboratory to the highest level of performance and compliance.  The ideal candidate must possess a degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in chemistry, biology, chemical engineering or a closely related field and at least three (3) years of related experience. The ideal candidate must also possess, or ability to obtain, a CWEA Laboratory Analyst Grade 2 certification within one (1) year of appointment.

Requirements include possession of a valid California driver’s license and combined education and experience necessary to perform the required job duties.

Salary Range:  $86,928 to $ 105,648 (annual)

Disaster Service Workers

All Carpinteria Sanitary District employees are designated Disaster Service Workers through state law (California Government Code Section 3100-3109).
